Vintage Sandor Enamel Jewelry
You may be looking at the above image and thinking to yourself, “One of these things is not like the others…” but they have more in common than you might realize.
This yellow daisy seems very 1960s “Flower Power”, and something anyone could pin on their hat or dress that would make it sunnier and brighter but not necessarily fancier.
This set of yet another yellow brooch with matching earrings has a very different look. It’s yellow (although a softer yellow), and it’s a flower, but beyond that, the two designs seem very different. This one seems more appropriate for a fancier event. It’s got a lot of details to the flower petals, and the obvious big rhinestone in the middle of both the earrings and the brooch.
But guess what they have in common? They're both made by Sandor.
I’ve tried to research and find more out about the company, but there’s not a whole lot out there for some reason. The above photo tells you the basics. And I think each of these designs I featured here today represent the two different “signature look” that Sandor made.
Both designs are well made, and have remained in great condition for 50 + years. They’re also both currently for sale in my Etsy shop. They’re both perfect for this time of year- depending on which kind of a look you’re going for. Head over to the shop to see more pictures of each and a more thorough description.
Flower Power. It’s real.
