Enid Collins Handbags

Besides having a thing for vintage jewelry, I also have a thing for vintage handbags. One type I have been a collector of for many years is Enid Collins handbags.

Enid Collins was a designer in Texas, who made unique beaded handbags popular in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. They’re very eye catching with lots of different designs ranging from turtles, to flowers, to cable cars. Lots of people build collections of these purses because they are just so cool.

Being from Texas, I used to run across them quite a bit when I’d go to estate sales each week. So, I’ve got a decent sized collection.

I listed two more in my Etsy shop today, and there will be more coming soon. These two are just perfect for Spring! They’re both a light canvas color, with colorful beads that make up their Spring motif design. They’re both in great shape, and all beads are intact.

Please visit the Resparkable Vintage Etsy shop to see these, and others. But do not buy these if you don’t want to be bothered with people stopping you in the street telling you how pretty your bag is! 😉
